Tochal Hotel / Tehran

About this hotel

In my second trip in Iran which was mostly devoted to the nature, we managed to stay in Tochal hotel which is located on top of mt.Tochal.
It is an old hotel but it’s a treasure as one of the highest located hotels in the world.
At day time the ski slope is very busy and everybody is eating and relaxing in the hotel area but as soon as the slope gets closed around 5-6 pm, hotel guest can experience peace, silence and quietness that is unbelievable.
If you travel from a low altitude country, you’d better to stat at this hotel at the end of your trip in Iran in order to avoid altitude sickness. You may also get a light anoxia if you are not used to mountains. There is a standby doctor anyway.
Rooms are fine, breakfast is ok, restaurant is good and it is a nice stay overall. I drop one star just for not having an English speaking front desk staff.
