The Abadan Museum, located in Ahmadabad, Abadan, is one of Iran’s oldest museums, established in 1960. It showcases an array of prehistoric, historic, and contemporary items, along with traditional artwork. The museum’s design is inspired by Iranian traditional architecture, featuring a dome 22.5 meters high, reminiscent of St. Daniel’s tomb in Susa. The building originally consisted of four halls, but currently includes the main hall and two side galleries. The main hall displays items from Susa excavations and the Safavid and Qajar eras, along with anthropological items and traditional artwork. The side galleries are used for temporary exhibitions, a library, and a conference room.
